Some of us have moms that are very vocal about what they are expecting for holidays, others not so much. My mom is a “chill” mom. Not many hobbies, stays a home most often unless she is traveling to help friends in their times of need (she’s such a blessing). However, while I love the simplicity of her life, it does not make it simple to think of gift ideas for her. After thinking I just may not be the only one with this issue, I decided to share a few things that I found cool on my hunt. I hope this helps.
Nordstroms carries a line of cubic studs that are quite gorgeous. I have these in the 2ct and they are mistaken for real every time. I always confess because thats just how I am lol, but also because the price vs the look is something I always want to share. For one that already has a pair of real diamond studs, these are a GREAT vacation substitution pair. (I have the 6ct linked here because the 2ct are sold out at the time of writing this. The 3ct are also a good realistic look and are available.)
This is one of my go to gifts because as its name suggests, it is all purpose. Red or white, pour it in. I have these glasses and while I can not drink wine at the level that my life dictates I should, I couldn’t leave these in the store. My guest love them and always take notice. I know a many of other mommies will love them too.
My hair stylist has used this for my hair forever and recommended me to pick it up as well for the rare occasion that I have to blow dry my own hair. Im no hairstylist so I can not say specifically why its SO PERFECT, but I can say my hair drys fast but doesn’t dry out, is SUPER shiny and crazy straight afterwards.
You can’t go wrong with a good classic purse. Moms have a lot of mom stuff to carry and this bag is spacious enough for all off it. If your mom is like mine and would yell at you for buying a purse carrying a $300+ price tag, but would love the bag itself, heres a Topshop comp that I love.
If your mom is a die hard “don’t talk to me before coffee” serious coffee drinker that lives on expresso and loves a good latte, she’s a woman after my own heart and deserves nothing less than this beauty of an expresso machine! Its the local cafe with the fancy barista on our counter! I prefer the simplicity of a french press, but I do keep a machine for the days that I don’t have “french press time” and for my guest who are particular about their coffee. Now, in the event your mom is a ” I love and drink coffee often enough that starbucks is now a bill, but I also won’t die if I don’t have it” coffee drinker, than I highly recommend this version. They are both great but no need to overload her in amenities that she won’t find useful.
Maybe mommas more of a tea girl? I married a self proclaimed “tea connoisseur” and while Im not sure what points you have to hit to snatch the connoisseur title, I am very sure he takes his teas way more seriously than most. For true tea lovers Ive learned that they leave the bagged tea for us amateurs. Loose teas are their jam. So if your mom loves teas, this is a great gift set! Do not forget to purchase her a tea infuser to hold the tea. Heres a nice set.
Be your mom a full on “Crunchy mom”, a mom that loves getting her hands dirty in a garden or simply believes that every issue doesn’t require man made meds, this book is sure to bring her joy.
I have an auntie that does not play about two things, her lipstick and her body being moisturized. lol Ive purchased her this set and now she’s addicted. Clearly, its momma approved.
Now, while were at Jo Malone may we not forget the home goods. This is a gift of pure luxury and you must be okay with $200+ going up in smoke, literally. With that said, if your momma is all about her environment being nice and luxurious, she deserves a Jo Malone candle. If she is not familiar with the brand enough to have a favorite and/or is particular about scents I recommend the smaller sizes that can keep you under 40 bucks just in case she’s turns out to not be a fan.
This is just the start of this list as I will continue to update as I continue to shop. So please check back often and feel free to leave below any gift ideas that you know are universally great. Abrazos y besos!
