7 Aesthetically Pleasing Kitchen Faucets
When looking for our home we decided to go with new construction. Mostly because I was deeply afraid of inheriting resale home issues. I figured newly built homes should give us some time to prepare for inevitable home repairs and have warranties to cover a lot of major repairs for a few years. Luckily, we were right. For eight years, things have been going swimmingly. However, we recently ran into our first unforeseen repair, a kitchen faucet hose leak.
NOTE: If my property management and Realtor experience has taught me nothing else, it has taught me that a leak of any magnitude could bring havoc to your home and potentially your health. There is no such thing as a leak too small to cause damage. So, please take any water issues in your home seriously.
I assumed that the leak meant we needed a new faucet so I immediately jumped into the search. Click through for the 7 kitchen faucets that I narrowed down as my favorites.
This is the faucet we currently have and love. Despite the leak (It did give us eight years of no problems) the quality of this feels great in hand. We get compliments on it all the time.
This one caught my eye. I loved this because it’s similar to what we have in shape but offers more visual interest. Not to mention the price was much better. Currently on sale at the time of typing this for $159.
My husband will tell you that I have a small redecorating addiction. I don’t need motivation to get going, however if one thing requires fixing/replacing, that does indeed serve as motivation. My brain says “ You may as well upgrade the entire room while you’re at it”🥴. With that said, Ive never been a silver/chrome girl. I don’t wear silver accessories and we all know that hardware is just your homes accessories (Welcome to my brain). So brass has always been the eventual plan for the kitchen. These had my attention.
This brass faucet was exactly what I wanted in my head when we selected our current one, but couldn’t find it in this finish (champagne bronze) at the time.
The simplistic added details shows that this pick was a very intentional design decision.
This and the ones to follow made the list when I started to think about how open my floor plan is. Since my faucet is a centerpiece of the countertop - well lets make it a centerpiece!
Not every style fits every kitchen. This made my favorites list but ultimately gives a farmhouse feel - unlike my homes aesthetic, so I had to pass. Still, I loved it too much not to share. It may be perfect for your home.
I have a single hole cut, but for this bridge faucet, I was more than willing to make the necessary changes. The texture on the faucet opening and knobs. I swoon.
See how quickly that escalated?!? I went from replacing what I have with the same to a diffrent finish to needing to make cuts in our countertops to accommodate an entirely diffrent setup. 🥴 God clearly saw the rabbit hole I was jumping down and said - not today. Prior to pulling the trigger on a new faucet, we discovered that our faucet manufacturer (like most, it seems) offers a lifetime warranty. We ended up being sent a free replacement for the faulty hose and all was well…until I walked into our media room that sits below the kitchen this morning to find that the ceiling took a hit from the leak 😤. Another issue for another day/blog.
Take aways
May my mishap serve as your readiness.
Be sure to have water catching cabinet liners under all sinks. Not the flat ones. Preferably a drip tray such as this one.
When investing in your home, invest. Go with the better quality and a warranty when possible.
Keep all of your paperwork on everything you purchase. Preferably all in one place, like a binder. It’s your proof of purchase and warranties.
If something requires registration, follow through with it. You would hate to miss out on a safety recall or great warranty because you overlooked registration.
Thank you for coming along this journey with me. Hope you find the most aesthetically pleasing faucet for your kitchen! :)
