Baltimore Florist: Fleurs D’ave

Baltimore always has something new to offer and the creativity of it all just gets better and better. Today, I'm excited to highlight a Baltimore florist who has brought beauty and life to one of Reservoir Hills busiest corners.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by Ashley, an owner of Fleurs d'Ave, who made me feel like an expected guest who had just entered her vestibule. Prior to introducing myself, I was impressed as she ran through a few names from memory thinking that I could be one of the people who had told her via social media and the like that they were coming by today. It told me that she pays attention, cares and is excited about meeting her clientele. As she openly told me the story of how this beautiful family owned business had come to be, she simultaneously made sure I was comfortable offering me a seat and a choice of drink options. Be it me to choose the Moscato that I know gives me a headache because of its sweetness, but the environment she has set felt like a celebratory drink was called for.

The plushness I sat and enjoyed during the super short wait for my arrangement

I originally became familiar with this company through Instagram. One of Baltimore's own Interior Designers, Tiffany of Elaborate Designs by Tm, gave a sneak peak during its design stage, and my excitement began. I love how its all so earthy yet chic. One of the things I enjoyed about Fleurs d'Ave before ever patronizing was that they have subscription boxes. I watched them conduct a live class online on how to cut and arrange the flowers from the subscription. Not only did they show you how to craft the arrangement, but they also explained the rationale behind the floral composition - a fun activity for anyone that appreciates cut flowers in their space. They offer automatic weekly or monthly delivery for your home or corporation amongst a plethora of other options and occasions.

I told Ashley I wanted a white bouquet of her choosing and gave her my budget. She showcased my vase options that included a pretty white round flower box (that was super hard for me to turn down). A few moments later and without ANY prompting, I was given what just so happens to be my favorite combination of white flowers...white roses, white hydrangeas and white lilies...Mind. Blown.

My Arrangement

Bottom line guys, this is my new Baltimore florist. It's not in my neighborhood, but the customer service, and product was worth the drive to get there. I'm one of those people who happily drives across country for a product that's sold right next-door to me if it means I and my hard earned dollar will be respected, I found that here. Give them a try for your next floral arrangement. You can always order online but, trust me, if you have the opportunity to go in and enjoy the staff and environment, I highly suggest that you do!

PS. Ashley says new florals come in on Tuesdays :)
